What is it?
Gelee De Cidre translate to Cider jelly. It’s just cider and sugar, that’s all. Bought from a farmers market in Normandy – www.cambremer.com/normandy/
The product is made by heating the cider, and adding sugar.
It has a gentle and characteristic aroma that gives it a wide variety of uses in the kitchen.
Great to have for breakfast or lunch, spread on bread on bread or pure, with a spoon, like any other fruit jam. Its use is also quite suitable for cooking, particularly for blends sweet and savory. Also fantastic added to roast chicken or roasted vegetables.
If you are in France soon, look out for some!
