The Orchard Projects next Certificate in Community Orcharding (CICO) will start in London in January 2024, and they are able to offer eight free places thanks to generous funding from the City Bridge Foundation.

This Level 3 course involves a mixture of online and practical in-person workshops over a seven month period.

Deadline to apply for a free place is 3 December, and they are being offered to people who live in London and are unemployed, economically inactive, or on a low income (earning below £20,000 per year). 

Many of the CICO students have moved onto exciting careers in urban food-growing, like managing community gardens, working for organisations in the food sector (including The Orchard Project!), or as professional gardeners/designers. They have also enjoyed meeting other like-minded food growers and becoming part of our informal orcharding network.
