The photos you see below are the latest added by the community of Real Cider, that’s you! We use the flickr photo sharing site, where you can add your own cider photos to the Real Cider group for all to enjoy.
A photo or picture says a thousand words; as well as exploring how people enjoy cider, you can also see the variety and colourful life that exists for our apples all around the world.

A nice big 2 litre bottle of Medium Sweet Perry's Farmhouse Cider, went down a treat too on New Years Eve/Day!!!

This is from a Cider Mill over the road from my house. The village I live in was developed in the 16th century and due to planning regulations and legalisation has retained its beautiful old features such as this mill which was used to make Cider for the local pub, it has not been used in over 50 years. I had trouble getting the light coming through the cracks right, and the texture in the wheel but after a bit of editing i am happy with the result.

A bit confusing ? I could not find a good angle to shot from as the mill had some distracting stuff strewn around. But I like the quirkiness of this image, the beams were very rotten in places and I was quite scared one would land on me and my camera but I didn't, I lived to post this on flickr !
A standard photo would not have sufficed due to the dynamic range of this scene (It was very bright outside and very dark inside) so I took a 3 step HDR which was merged in Photomatix Pro and editing in PS CS5. I am quite happy with the result.

In their case, Domaine Lafrance - Cuvée spéciale. It takes 60+ apples to make one 375 ml bottle of that cider. Les Vergers Lafrance, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Quebec.
