If I sell a tonne of cider apples to a cider producer in the UK, how much am I likely to get for it? I live in Brittany, have 350 cider apple trees, of mixed variety, and am told maximum yield of 6 tonnes. For the price I got paid for them last year by the local cooperative, I am thinking it would be more cost effective for me to actually ship them to the UK!! Would be interested in an answer to my query if anyone has the time to indulge me! Many thanks, Lizzie nicolasmehta@hotmail.com

Hi Lizzie,
I have posted your availability on our forum.
If anyone sees its useful they will contact you directly.
Also have you tried contacting the big producers here? seeing as you have 6 tonnes..
Blackthorn, Bulmers, Gaymers, and Westons all produce cider from these sort of quatities.

I have had a reply back from a friend who produces cider in Ludlow, Shropshire (http://www.farmcider.co.uk/) he mentioned that cider apple prices are currently about £86 per tonne.
Hope this helps.
Bye for now,
Jim C.
